There are several options available to deal with speeding in our neighborhood streets. Vertical deflection device, or as they are commonly known as “Speed Hump,” in its many variations, tops the list.
The most complicated and expensive kind of a speed control device is a raised crosswalk. This one was covered in the previous section.

Speed Lump –A, for street widths of 20’ to 24’, and posted speed of 30MPH or less
Speed Lump –B, for street widths of 24’ to 34’, and posted speed of 30MPH or less
Speed Lump –C, for street widths of 34’ to 40’, and posted speed of 30MPH or less
Speed Lump –D, for street widths of 40’ and above, posted speed of 30MPH or less
Speed Table, For any street widths, with posted speed of 35MPH
Speed Hump, for streets with posted speed of 25MPH, not a bus or emergency route
